Interesting site! Enjoyed the pictures & reading the newsletters. I can't swim a lick but I got hooked on sailing 4 years ago. I own a Hobie 18 & a Newport Panther.

We had 3 14s at a race last fall and that was the biggest 14 turn out in Division 4 for over a decade. Where have all the flowers gone?

I just have to say... that I am in LOVE. I am hooked! Once on a cat... you never go back! It happened one fine sunday at Salve Regina on the beautiful waters of Newport. After attempting to chase the pristene boats while waiting for my own races to start, I realized that it was hopeless and I wanted to be on one of those blazing beauties! SO... as the story goes... in between each of my divisions I strapped on the harness and had the time of my life (each time dissappointed to head back into the dock and back to the mediocre style of racing in the FJ's). Chris, Barry and Eric can attest to my enthusiasm and desire to Race with your fleet. PLEASE! I am ready to handle anything, trap like mad and have a blast! my number is 860-227-2532... i'll be waiting!

I enjoyed sailing and racing a Prindle 16 and Nacra 5.2 on Lake Erie for many years. I own a 1987 Nacra 5.8 that I am not using, I just can't find the time. The boat is sun faded and needs new strips, BUT.... the boat is excellent otherwise. It has never been raced (sail numbers still in file) and it has never been beat on(as it should be). There are no stress crack (that I noticed), the rudders and dagger boards aren't even nicked. Sales are still pretty crisp. The boat is complete on a Shorelander galvanized trailer. Wet sanding/buffing would make this 5.8 new!. I am open to offers and can be reached at SAABDOCTOR@AOL.COM
